I love movies probably more than anything in the world.

Tell us about any movie - new or old - that you love. No posts please about meh movies, so so movies, movies you hate, etc. Only movies that you love. Give us an IMDB link also, if you can, so people can read about the movie.

Please post one movie only in each post. It gets fatiguing when people post a long list of movies.

I recently watched CALVARY & loved it. Great story, great acting.

I love GFII. i like to watch them together. AMC used to air them every Thanksgiving.

Another of my faves is Georgy Girl with Lynn Redgrave. She was amazing in it

Also James Mason and Alan Bates

Charlotte Rampling was also brilliant as the mean girl.

I don't condone violence but I loved it when Paul Newman cold cocked her in The Verdict

Another Char Rampling film; Never Let Me Go.

I loved this film, have never seen anything quite like it. She didn't have a large part.

Carrie Mulligan, Andrew Garfield, and Kiera Knightly had main roles. Kate Beckinsale

had a small role as well

I had to look that one up. Yes, I saw it and, yes, that was a very good strange sad movie.

Clint Eastwood Grand Torino

I love the storyline and how a gruff old fart gets along with a younger generation from a different part of the world. And the old fart cares about the other family living next to him. And of course the Torino car is a legend in of itself.

For some reason, I rarely enjoy any of Clint Eastwood's movies that he directs.

These two movies are not for the faint of heart, but they are excellent. Many times I had to look away from the screen. Be warned - graphic simulated sex scenes, tons of nudity, etc., etc.

Nyphomaniac Vol. I

Nyphomaniac Vol. II

I love really old movies..

Currently, because it is still fairly close to St Patricks Day.. I suggest, "The Quite Man",  with John Wayne. No link because I have it on DVD.
