as some of you would recall,I have taken up a volunteer work manning suicidal hotlines.. I have gone through the first stage of the training.. yesterday was the last and now the trainers have to decide on whether we would be suitable to go onto the second stage.. i'm really jittery about this... please send me some good vibes if you can and hope that i can make it through to the second stage....

OoO, Seems like a tough, but very rewarding job. Suicidal hotlines helped me alot (although I have only called once) and I never think negative much anymore. I know, you will get jittery, and may never get used to it, but I'm pretty sure you will, and also make new friends at this! Good luck and I'll pray for you

kate you will have someone in the room with you at all times when you do get a call. They will make a grab for the phone if you signal them to do so. At least that is how the place I volunteered at a long time ago did it. Until you are comfortable with what you are doing, they will not leave you alone.

I will send some "be strong" vibes to You.... Kateang . But like MA said... You will probably be in pairs so you will never have to take a difficult call alone.
