I'm thinking I must have missed counted her kittens late last night. Bc I can't find another anywhere...my vet said to hold off on supplementing until I notice mamma not caring for them or the get really whiny or I'd they loose weight. I tried to move them bc she had them in a small awful spot but she carried the back so that's where they will stay. I have wet and dry food a liter in the same room as her.
Owwwwwwwww what a young cute mamma Take a good care of her!
I just read your thread now.. My cat also gave birth for the first time and I thought she would have max 3 kittens and she had 2 days ago 5 kittens. I was amazed .. Do not worry about the mom neither the kittens.. A queen has a big heart for her babies, And suddenly becoming a mother for the first time she will do her job perfectly we're talking about -Instinct- here.
@ weighting you sure are reading scale wrong ! A newly newborn kitten should be at least 50-60 grams when he deliver.. (100 is the normal/known)
From the picture of ur queen she looks worry.. Give her more private time Why not put her in a cardboard box with high edges.. That way she wont lose her babies and would feel more private or safe imo she wil llikey feel her own house!
Good luck finding the lost kitten!! Look everywhere!
Kitten #1 is 100grams
Kitten #2 is just a but over 100 about 107 grams
Kitten #3 is 100grams
Kitten #4 is 100grams
Kitten #5 is 90 grams maybe 92
Kitten#6 is 100grams
The kittens are less than 24 hours old. The weights are good. Now begin weighing daily to make sure each kitten is gaining 6-10 grams each. If not, or one loses weight, then you supplement.
Haha its normal, because you smell not their mom, anything strange they start hissing ^^"
Try petting your queen then a little pet on each kitten everyday and they will get used to your smell.. i read somewhere, when kittens are one week old, you can hold them carefully (put each on ur hand) but not for long. To get them get used to human.. Over time they will stop hissing [emoji]128522[/emoji]
