Need advice

Hi I'm new to this but my cat whose not even one yet over the last 2 days has been sick and when she's been to her litter tray she's there for a good ten minutes but not producing a stool or urine like normal. She seems fine in herself but thought I'd ask for advice before I take her to the vets. Please help xx

If she has not eliminated at all for 2 days she needs a vet.

She has done bits but not as much as normal if that makes sense

She may be constipated or she may have a uterine infection. Sounds like she is straining to eliminate. Wait until tomorrow. It may be a temporary thing. If it continues you must take her to a vet. Encourage her to drink her water in order to flush her out.

I will do definitely if she's no better after tomorrow I just needed advice as I'm a first time cat owner. If she carries on I will certainly take her to the vets thank you for your advice I appreciate it [emoji]128513[/emoji]

Ditto, completely agree, don't put this off.  Not urinating for more than 24-48 hrs .can be dangerous.  Please keep us updated, good luck! 

Tommy was straining in the box the entire day. He went to the ER that evening and his bladder was full as he was obstructed. The bladder can rupture and you also risk kidney damage. He needed to pee so bad that his dad touched his tummy and he yelled and ran into the litter box and started bearing down again.
Don't wait too long if you don't understand what the issue is. He couldn't wait til the next day. He stayed in the hospital for 2 days.
