I'm new to this site, and no expert on cats, but you're both so lucky to have found eachother! Since she was a stray, be sure to have a vet check her over. She IS beautiful!!!

@Monster Mousie  I took her yesterday to scan for a chip....no luck. I got her checked for FeLV/FIV since I just lost my Gary to FeLV,  she was neg. I got her updated on all of her vaccines, dewormed, and even got flea prevention put on her although she didn't have a single flea.  They shaved her belly a bit to look for a tattoo or scar to indicate spay but she wasn't.....she was a little lumpy so may be in early stages of pregnancy. Thanks, she is a beauty!

Now I have it.  She is a calico!   I was pondering, how come an apparent tabby has big black spots...  But its really easy, she isnt no true tabby, the red fields looks as tabby, but they dont count on the red ones.   She has probably more red fields but these are covered by all the white.

What is the color of her eyes?  Many torties and calicos has greenish eyes, but not all, so this is no sure proof is they dont have.

I'm. . .not sure if she's calico. There are the light parts around her ears, which would be normal shading if her spots were tabby but they look solid black so maybe she does have some red :dk:. One sure way to tell is if she has any red male kittens; only red or calico/tortie mamas can have red boys :D. She looks pregnant to me, maybe halfway.

I believe high-white cats with patches of color are called harlequin. Or some people prefer cow-cat because they look like Holstein cows :lol3:.

Ahh!!! My son will want to call her Harley Quinn [emoji]128542[/emoji]. I think I'll keep that a secret and let the girls keep calling her Callie LOL

Because I like to add to the mystery, lol: this is to me a tabby cat. I'd say Brown Tabby Harlequin (tho it's on the low end of Harlequin, high end Bicolor would do too for the white imho).

Looking at her back, she is probably a Tabby Classic for her markings, but I can not say for sure.

Yeah, perhaps a couple of good photos from aside would help - it MAY be so tabby markings are visible.

Ya I'm gonna say classic tabby with a lot of white. Callie seems like a great name for her! I can see why you might argue calico. There is a term for a mix of tabby and calico, i believe it's tabico or something silly. For actual breed she would just be domestic short-haired. These other names are color references.

Huh, yeah, tabby. I'm inclined to say the light coloring is just tabby shading not calico, but like I said, we'll know for sure if she has any red babies.

On the forrard pics  I didnt saw clearly the body, though it was black, even if I saw a couple of reddish hairs.  Now its more clear its some sort of tabby, prob classic bulls eye tabby.   With a nice warm brownish shine to it.   I dont longer think she is a calico (and tabby), but we cant be sure.  We will perhaps see on her babies...

And the reddish on her head looks almost alike a crown, or at least, a tiara...   :)

Thanks! The kids say her name is Callie regardless bc she looks like that is what her name should be haha I guess there is no point in arguing with a 5, 6 & 10 yr old! I love that she has the tabby markings since my Gary was a beautiful Tabby!!!
