I'm sorry, maybe this isn't the right place to post, but i am losing my mind.
I'll try to make a very long story short.
So, my 6 year old male cat, Loki, got crystals in his kindeys. He couldn't use litterbox and that was my first heart attack. The vet placed a catheter. After it was removed, he started passing huge amounts of urine, unwillingly even though he used litter box to pass smaller amounts. My second heart attack.
Eventually, that passed. He was on urinary food, drank a lot of water... he would still pass small amounts very often.
Then, at the beginning of this month, he got bloody urine. (Third heart attack)He got some meds and got better.
Today, I noticed this white/bloody thing beneath his tail. And forth heart attack. Turns out his colon protruded. Apparently urinary food is not so good, no matter the amount of water intake.
He is recovering from the last one.
I can't imagine the pain of both crystals and colon. I can't imagine what's he going through. I hug him and pet him and love him.
I just wish someone to tell me it's going to be alright.

So sorry that your baby is going through so much... [emoji]128546[/emoji] I don't have any experience with the issues Loki is having. I do hope that he has a speedy recovery and that the heart attacks are over for you. We love our furbabies so much it's hard to see them in pain. I lost my boy on the 3rd of this month to FeLV so I know what it's like to just need comfort. This forum is a great place for it. Sending good vibes your way and many ::hugs::

He had kidney stones or was peeing crystals?  How did the urinary food make the colon protrude?

If he was peeing crystals from his ph levels being too high look in to trying apple cider vinegar. It's a very very common problem for cats to get struative crystals from their ph being to high causing an alkaline environment where crystals can form. My guy had major issues with this to the point where he had to get a perineal urethostomy. Even after that he was still getting crystals that were visible. Ultimately feeding him prescription food each day solved the issue but apple cider vinegar helped tremendously to. Just a very small dose when i noticed he was having problems or if i saw blood in his urine would clear him right up.

There is quite a bit of information online about it if you want to look it up. Personally i used to make a mixture of around 1 tbl spoon of acv, 1 table spoon of cranberry juice and about 150ml or so of water. It needs to be diluted strongly cause it tastes bad. Id give him one small syringe of that twice a day when i noticed issues. Usually after the first day he was back to normal. It was really amazing.

Also if you look around these forums you will find some other useful tips. This problem seems to be one of the most common issues cats face.

Heaps of happy vibes your way. I'm sure everything will work out fine

Thank you for your advice, Fodder.
He is on prescription diet, but I'm kinda afraid to try, because they said food and water only.
But I think I'll give it a shot. And, yes, srtuviate crystals
Thanks again!

Update

After second colonary protrusion we took him to another vet.

They found out his bladder is not working and his urinary tract is too blocked  to remove it

Chances of surviving are not too big

Pray for us, please

If you don't already use it, I've heard wet food is important for good hydration and avoidance of kidney problems. Apparently cats are descended from desert kitties that got most of their water from food. There are arguments that wet raw food is the best. I use commercial raw food, and it's not as scary, fringe, or inconvenient as it sounds. But I've heard a quality canned food is good too. Some cats benefit from having a fountain to drink from, too. Hugs to you, I really hope he gets better.

He passed away.
I took a short nap while a family member was watching over him. I woke up and started petting him. I was still petting him and talking how everything will be ok. He stopped breathing.
I don't think I can describe how I feel.
My mom passed away 6 yeats ago. A few days later, we found him. He was our love, our comfort in those dark days.
I can't stop crying

OMG! Im so sorry for your loss :
 That's so damn sad.

He's on the rainbow bridge to Asgard now to take his throne. No more suffering.
I know it's extremely hard to lose a friend like this but remember the good times and that you gave him a great life. Im sure he is looking down from Asgard at you.
Big hugs your way. I hope you feel better soon.

R.I.P little Loki

My heart breaks for what you are going through, I know how much this hurts. You did all you could, you were there for him and comforted him at the end. The bond you formed with this sweet boy can never be taken, use it to continue to receive his sweet love and to send him your own, his new path will continue to follow yours for the rest of your life. He would never want to be the cause for so much pain, you must go on to spread his legacy of love, that is why he shared your life's journey, to let you know the importance of love and the happiness it brings.  He was a priceless treasure in your life, you were so lucky to have known him. I'll pray for you both, please accept my sincere condolences, the loss to this world is great. RIP dear Loki, you were another''s world for a while and you will never be forgotten. You will always have a place in a loving heart, sleep tight, sweet Prince!

Thank you all for your kind words. I really can`t thank you enough.

But it hurts so much!

I know he`d want me to be happy, but I miss him. I want to see into his eyes again and see him looking back as if he were reading my thoughts. I want to hear him scratch on the furniture. I want another head-bump. I want him to put his head under my chin and nap, I want to see him twitch his tail angrily when we are annoying him.

Sometimes, it hurts so much that I can`t breathe. Literally.

He saved us. I did everything I could, I paid huge amounts of money for treatments, I looked after him, talked, petted, loved... only to fail.

I feel like I failed him.

Yes, i know, the vet said it was genetic. It would have happened sooner or later, but still...

I`m not ready to let him go.
