If she isn't on pain medications she will feel it if she moves the wrong way. If I remember right, my girl was pretty much acting normal at that point.

I cannot wait until Friday night when I take her back to get stitches removed. She hasn't pooped in almost 2 days again... I didn't give her the laxative anymore after that one super soft poo... and she's kind of been aggressive last night and today! Peed outside the litterbox too. She's been peeing a LOT even though she still isn't drinking much water. I even went out and bought her a water fountain. lol. I don't know what's going on with her. Her incision looks good.

Hang in there. Once the stitches are out and the cone is gone she should be back to normal in a week or so.

Hoping she will get feeling better.  They tried to give me a cone to put on Tipper after she was spayed but she was a feral cat and I just knew that would make her crazy.   Tipper did just fine after surgery and the vet used absorbable sutures which did not have to be removed.   Hoping she gets back to her old self real soon.  Here is a picture of Tipper with her shaved belly!

Tipper is cute! Delta has a crazy shaved belly but also two shaved front legs... she looks like a poodle or like she's wearing leg warmers. Lol

Just because I love an excuse to show off my cats and to share different spay photos.....

This was Rocket post spay. Her incision was tiny (the pink on the one shot is the sutures and entirety of her scar) but her whole tummy was shaved. I didn't cone her while healing but hers was smaller now that I see the photos. To give size she was about 7 months old and 4.5 pounds at the time. She is still a tiny girl at 7 pounds and 2 years old now.

Omg she is so cute. She reminds me of grumpycat... but you know... less grumpy.

I called the vet and they worked her in early to get her sutures out so Delta is now free and jumping all over everything, grooming, not sitting still long enough for me to get a picture. I'll get one later when she's calmed a bit. Thanks everyone who helped me calm down!! I may freak out a little more yet, lol who knows?

Oh she can be just as grumpy. Here she is this past weekend daring one of the boys to take her spot on the hot tub cover.

Yay for total freedom! This site is great for all those little freak outs in cat families.

My sweet sleepy floof. She's all back to normal except one thing--- she keeps peeing outside the litterbox. I have soaked the spot in natures miracle and laid down a sheet of tinfoil to deter her but she keeps returning! She's also peeing in the littler box sometimes too. This spot is within sight of one of her boxes!

Anyone have litterbox issues post-spay?

She is a little doll. [emoji]128525[/emoji]

Rocket wanted to go under the guest bedroom after her spay. We kept the door closed and put a litter box outside the door. She got back on the litter box fairly easily. Although now that she has daytime outdoor access she doesn't use the litterbox ever.

Maybe set up a temporary litter box where she is going?

It's literally 10 feet away, within the sight line of the litterbox. Right in front of the door as you walk in so I can't really put a litter box there. Hopefully the treating it and covering it up will give it enough time for the enzyme cleaner to work and she won't want to walk on the tinfoil... my roommate is already like "what the hell is this? This isn't forever, right?!?" Lol
