I got myself a security camera for my place.. mainly to keep an eye on my fish tank while I am away, but also to keep in in my cats.

I set it up today before heading to my parents for the week. It has pan/zoom/tilt. also has a microphone, and night vision. Quality is pretty good! (blurs as it zooms in but still good!)

I am dying.. I caught Cassie on my counter.. Spoke in the microphone "Get off the counter!" she freaked out so bad and ran into the bedroom!
Monet looked around as I talked "I hear Meowmy, but I don't SEE her!" They are so confused!!

Photo has night vision set up currently

I got a Petcube for my Charlie hoping that I could watch him and chat with him while I was away... it didn't connect to my device even after an entire morning of trying. Basically this made for an expensive doorstop. I have been looking at security cameras though. It would give me a lot of peace of mind to be able to watch Charlie while I'm away. What brand/model did you get?

Very nice! Monet and Cassie will start thinking you're omnipotent now.

I've just got one of those trail cameras that are motion activated. Once left it by the food bowls in the kitchen over night and found that my cats, two of the neighbors cats and a feral tom I'd never seen before were coming in to eat at night.

that's awesome, at least you know who's around and check in on that feral too.

6:30 am, usual time I wake up. I check in and I see Cassie sitting on my table looking out the door. I feel guilty for leaving them home during the snow storm! (got my neighbor to check in on them for me)

I've considered getting one of these for when we go on vacation. :)

That is hilarious! I can just see them now!  "Where IS she?!"  LOL, Aww, poor Cassie!

I wish I could put one on Sammie's collar & see where she goes! I'm pretty sure she stays between here & two houses down, where we are pretty sure she came from.

if I had an outdoor cat, I'd put one of those mini cameras on their collars too! lol.

I watched my petsitter come in yesterday. felt a bit guilty for watching, I trust her entirely, but I mostly wanted to see how the cats respond to her when I am not home, lol

I had the motion detector on higher sensitivity to test it- it snapped a photo of Cassie stretching lol

Where do you think?
Closest thing we have is a security camera that is mounted in the kitchen where the door is can't upload pictures from it though it's pretty old there's one in the hallway and one over the drive as well.

When Freya was little and still mosly in her safe room, I had one set up, but as she got older and wandered the house freely, I stopped bothering.
