Is my cat abandoning kittens?

My cat keeps taking two out of her six kittens and moving them and nursing them leaving the other four for extended periods of time

As  she seems to take care of all of them, my guess is she isnt abandoning them.  But probably finds six at once is too much trouble.  They probably fights some with each other, to get to the best nipple.

So she is doing what we sometimes recommend with big litters:  a rotation.

Here you can help her with having an little extra nest, with a little heating pad in there..  Place there the kittens whom you saw has eater to take their midday nap.   and let the others have their momma for themselves.

Perhaps 3 and 3...

Weight them daily, so you notice if they add as they shall, or if someone falls behind.   This whom falls behind, you help extra, even supplement feed if necessary with kmr or goats milk.
