my hair

how do i stop my cat from chewing my hair?

its always at night and she wakes me up

several times

here is what ive tried

shutting her out of my room and the meowing she makes is so loud

and she will end up damaging the door with the scratching to get in

having my long long hair cut off short

wearing a nightcap such as they wore way back in Little house days

wrapping a shirt around my head

wearing a towel to bed

wrapping the cover around my head-- all of which makes me too hot

and it eventually falls off plus she can get to the strands sticking out

pinning ny hair up but the clips hurt my head

pushing her away when she starts chewing it

none of those things work

im ready to shave my head

what can i do?

That is a seriously dedicated cat. 

Maybe spraying your hair with bitter apple spray before bed? My girl didn't like the bitter apple spray when she started munching on the Christmas decorations and I don't remember it having a bad smell. Most other smells that cats dislike are also slightly or seriously toxic if ingested for them. 

I sometimes have that problem with Bruce. I just tell him no and pick him up and lay him by my feet. He usually get's it by the third time, but cat memory and all, he'll try again a few days later.

It's worse when I have my curlers on! Almost impossible to sleep with him.
