So one of my cats that was a bottle baby a long with his brother has recently developed some type of sores under his chin. His brother had it recently as well. I'm not sure if it's from the two brothers playing too rough, getting not or stung by bugs (They are a mischievous duo), acne, or even ringworm? A vet today said maybe ringworm, but she didn't seem sure of anything really and said they'd have to do a $300 culture to rule it out?. Anyone here have any ideas? I'll attach a picture of his chin as well.

if your vet recommends the panel, I'd go for it. Ringworm usually appears on the nose, but this is the *usual* and can appear other places as well. Is your cat neutered? Whole males are very likely to get feline acne.

He isn't neutered yet. He has an appointment soon though

So what did it end up being? My naimals got over a bout of ringworm when we rescued a kitten. The kitten recently showed up with a pink slightly swollen spot right below his lips. I'm hoping it's kitten acne. I'm going to give it one more day and if it doesn't get better, I'm taking him to the vet to do a PCR for ringworm which costs about $80.

My kitten doesn’t have ringworm, but the swollen chin healed up and then a week later his lip looks swollen. (I didn’t do the PCR test) Him and my adult cat play a lot so it might be a play wound. I am also wondering if it’s rodent ulcers? Probably going to take him to the vet next week.
