It is always a good idea to feed cats grain free food, but many cats don't take to the healthier stuff, especially if they're used to the flavor additive laden lower grade brands.  So, I thought I'd be great to see which foods (wet and dry) people's cats *REALLY* go for.  So, just list your cat's (not yours) favorite grain free food wet and or dry, with bonus points if you mention your cat's age and breed)

My cat (a 7 month old traditional Siamese)  LOVES Solid Gold Indigo Moon dry (and tolerates having some Canidae pure elements chicken mixed in)  and for wet, she tolerates(I've never had much luck with wet food for her): Nutro Kitten Soft Loaf Chicken.

Indy my American Short hair loves performatrin ultra she has always been picky about dry food but over time I figured out she loves fish. A lot of the grain foods even the fish flavours don't really smell like fish. They actually smell just like chicken layer pellets so can't say I blame her.

My cat has tried a few different brands of dry food up to this point and loved them all, but currently eats Canidae Pure Elements and acts like it's kitty crack (she'd be a dry food addict if I let her be!) and for wet food she's much more picky but likes Merrick Purrfect Bistro trays, Sheba cuts, and she's hit or miss lately with her other foods like Weruva, Soulistic, Earthborn Holistic and Nutro Natural choice.

My cats love Go!Fit &Fresh. It's higher in protein and fat and more for active cats. I have been mixing it with Rayne Rabbit just because I got some from work.

I have three cats..2years,20 months and 9 months. They all like Applaws chicken +duck dry but none will eat grain free wet food. I have tried several but with no luck.

My 6-month-old kitty has some sensitivities to poultry so that limits a bit of what I can feed him. He's on an all canned food diet so as of right now, he gets Redbarn beef pate and lamb pate, Ziwipeak venison, and I and Love and You rabbit pate. His favorite is certainly the venison but he does enjoy each of them on the rotation in which I give them to him!

We feed a rotation of several canned foods, all of which are grain-free and carrageenan-free:
  • Fancy Feast (Classic)  - Tender Liver & Chicken Feast, Turkey & Giblets Feast, Tender Beef & Chicken Feast
  • Merrick  - Rabbit Pâté
  • Nature's Variety Instinct  - Duck Formula, Rabbit Formula
  • Nutro  - Chunky Loaf Chicken Dinner, Chunky Loaf Turkey Dinner
  • Purina Beyond (Paté)  - Duck & Sweet Potato Recipe, Pheasant & Sweet Potato Recipe, Quail & Carrot Recipe
  • Sheba (Paté)  - Chicken Entrée, Chicken & Liver Entrée, Turkey Entrée
  • Soulistic (Moist & Tender)  - Duck Dinner in Gravy
  • Soulistic (Paté and Shreds) - Chicken Dinner in Gelée, Chicken & Turkey Dinner in Gelée, Lamb Dinner in Gelée
  • Tiki Cat (Grill & Luau)   - Koolina Luau (Chicken with Egg in Chicken Consommé)
  • Tiki Cat (Gourmet Carnivore)  - Beef Liver and Lamb Luau, Chicken with Duck Luau
  • Whole Earth Farms (Pâté)  - Real Duck Recipe
There are some others that we occasionally feed as well, but these are the ones that I buy consistently and can find at a decent price (either locally or online).

We currently also feed some commercial raw and some dry food (a mixture of Nature's Variety Instinct  Ultimate Protein Chicken Formula + Young Again  ZERO Mature Health), but we're phasing out the dry food and increasing the amount of raw food (will begin to include homemade raw) we finish the bags of dry food we have left.

I keep Nature's Variety Instinct Duck on hand. No one seems to hate it. I gave it to the boys after Tom first blocked, before moving them to raw. There have been some times we needed to stay out later than usual and I use it in their feeders. Tommy got back from surgery last month and he was on it for a few days. I have a little over a case left. I need to check the use by dates.

Nature's Variety Instinct and Boreal are favourites of both my cats. One of our cats is very fussy, but he almost always eats those two up.

My 15 year old loves food in general, and has developed allegies so can't have some of these anymore, but her and my picky 8 year old always agreed on these ones over the years!

Dry:

Ziwipeak Air Dried Beef
Canidae Pure Sea with Salmon
Orijen Cat & Kitten

Wet:
Canidae Pure Sea Salmon
Nature's Variety Rabbit
Grreat Choice (not all are grain free)

So yeah. They don't agree much lol. They will eat other stuff but quite reluctantly. Wet food with grains they gobble up (like Friskies) but grain free everything is really hit or miss.

I can give you an extensive list of things they don't like LOL

Interesting some of your guys don't like grain free.

My guys are the polar opposite Indy in particular. She just ignores anything with grains or any budget foods like fancy feast. When I first got her she was quite skinny and the adoption agency said she just wouldn't eat much. They had her on royal canin kitten spayed, I took one sniff of the food and knew why she wouldn't eat the stuff it smells almost exactly like the chicken feed they give layer hens. Can't say I blame her she's a cat not a hen.

I switched her to performatrin ultra and now she eats half a bowl of food a day. She is looking much better too her fur is so soft it's like velvet.
