Funny noise when excited

So never owned a cat in my life ! We got gracie when she was about 7 weeks old she is now nearly 6 nonths ! She has always made the most funniest noise when she's excited ! If I had my eyes closed And disn't know the noise cans from her id think it was a bird ! It's like a wobbly chirping noise ! Assume normal but just is so bizzarre

Hi daisyD, I think those exited noise that your kitty made is called trilling or chirping or chattering.

Brilliant thank you ! Been wondering for ages ! We were playing with the laser earlier and she kept jumping on my lap and making that noise before jumping down to chase the laser

It's such a cute sound. I have had two cats that do this when they see a bird. They chatter away and their mouth quivers.
