Hey I'm diggin' the cool new tat! I've always wanted one, and everytime I talk to my Mom about it she constantly reminds me that it's something to really think about 'cause it's there for the rest of your life. Haha! She has a few herself, by the way. I'm thinking of getting a tribal (polynesian, hawaiian design) around my ankle. Not something that'll look manly, but more sexy and exotic. I know... that's like the thinnest area of skin closest to the bone. But I figure if my Mom comes with me, she'll make me feel braver. Hehe!

Thanks! She's only reminding you of that so you wont do something and regret it. I gave the same big lecture to my Fiancee. It really is something to think about because if you dont and you rush into it and then get something you may regret it later. People's likes change and something you like now you may not like later.I have nothing against tats...I even want some myself, but I'm taking my time about it. If you do get one though, good luck! I hope it doesnt hurt too bad. Sorry about my lecture, just dont want to talk someone into something and them regret it. A body mod is something that a person must choose for themselves.

I have 2 tattoos. One on the side of my right leg about 4 or 5 inches above my ankle. That one hurt. I had to get it done 3 times because for some reason I had trouble with the color staying. (Maybe the guy who did it wasn't any good
)Then I got a 4 leaf clover on my shoulder, that one didn't hurt very much at all.

Ouch. I've heard ankle's hurt! That's one place I doubt I'll get one. Who knows though if they are as addictive as everyone says, then I might get addicted too and not care about the pain! I hope Lyle doesnt have to get his touched up alot. The clover sounds pretty.

My Celtic Knot is on the back of my right shoulder, and the cat is on my lower left of my lower back. That one hurt alot!! My muscles were involuntarily contracting the whole time. The weeds were what hurt the most because she had to do LONG straight strokes with the needle to do the weed outlines. The cat itself didn't hurt as bad.

I will get one or two more, tops. I want a cross with a dove in front of it, and maybe a wolf. Then that's it. Thanks for the compliment.

I bet it did! Ow. It had to to have made your muscles contract. I'm surprised they could still do it with your muscles moveing.

That sounds cool! Good luck! You're welcome!

I didn't find the ankle to be all that unbearable. Sandie will tell you that the top of the foot was worse.

Some people can handle getting ones at places close to the bone like the ankle....I doubt Im one of them! My first will probably be the armband I've wanted.

I understand that the underside of the arm is very tender in getting an armband, which is why I have heard that you should check to see if a person's band actually circles the entire arm. If you have a low tolerence for pain, I would go for a very small design to see how you do before committing to an entire armband. I had gotten a small tattoo on my upper arm and decided it wasn't too bad before I got the 2nd on my ankle. When I got my ankle done, it didn't bother me at all. My friend followed me, and 2 of us had to literally pin her down to keep her from leaping off the table.

I've heard the underside really hurts that's why a long time ago I decided to only get a half one which would look better anyway I think on my arm. I'm thinking something like a celtic twist for instance. You're right though it would be better to get something small at first, especially since my armband is going to be kinda detailed. I've still not decided what I'm going to do. Honestly I want one really bad, but I'm not at all in a big rush or hurry over it. I know that I can get one anytime. I'll have Lyle with my when I do get mine. Even though I feel much better with him there, I might still freak like your friend! Hopefully not though. I managed to get a second lobe piercing with Lyle with me and I didnt move so maybe I'll be fine. I wont know untill I have the guts to just go do it.
