Is my cat going to give birth soon?

my cat called Nala is around 8-9 Weeks pregnant , I thought she was 9 weeks this weekend but she hasn't given birth . Her nipples are big and pink, She wont stop licking herself, She sleeps ALOT. I have felt the kittens move for a couple of weeks and for about a week I can see them moving and twitching.Ive put a box with towels and blankets inside but I don't think she is liking in it, instead she has gone into my wardrobe.I am really excited for the new arrivals as we all are Nala is eating loads, ive looked on the internet and it said that they normally go off food around 2 days before so I really don't know. She also Drinking a lot more that usual is this normal? I don't think she is producing milk but has white crust on her nipples with little black dots .This is her first pregnancy and she is two, she will be getting spaid as soon as can ( what is normally about 6 weeks after kittens being born). I'm really excited and wondering if anyone knows and I am wondering about your stories and how far your cat is

She does sound like she is down to her final week if not sooner. Perhaps you could set up the nest in the wardrobe since she prefers that. Not all cats go off their food before delivery.

It's great that you plan to spay her. She can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old. The kittens can be spayed and neutered then too.

Can you keep mom 100% inside and away from intact males until she is spayed?

She's getting close.  Are you seeing any rippling in her sides?

And did you see the note above about keeping her away from intact males?  Is that the dad she's snuggling with in your photo?

I know what you mean Ellie! Talking peanut, what do you mean rippling, as in contx? I see lots of this but I think its more the kittens moving.

As long as she wants her sister around for now, that's fine! She will likely want privacy once the kittens are born.

I asked because cats can get pregnant again within a week of delivery.

Thank you so much that really helped , her and sister are just so close and they even lick eachover thank you so much for the offer but ive got a clinic near me that I go to, her sister got spaid last week and they did such a good job ill take nala there aswell x

That's great! She can be spayed 8 weeks after delivery. Just be sure to keep her inside until then.
