my cat mayhem slipped on our tile floors and now she has a pretty bad limp in one of her back legs like with each step her leg goes almost all the way down. no one saw her slide but my brother heard it. she wont let you touch anywhere near her leg and her in general but she usually is really nice and has meows that show she is in quite a bit of discomfort. I'm worried for her and don't know whats wrong and we cant take her to the vet from lack of funds and its sunday tomorrow. if you know what might be wrong please please help I'm really worried for her

Well its either a sprain or something else like a break, but hard to understand from slipping on the floor.  Are you sure that's what happened?  She may improve a little bit each day, but if she isn't better monday a vet visit is in order.  It could be a serious injury.  Don't give hr any pain medications, these are all toxic to cats.

She is still limping but she went up the stairs the other day and is getting around really well. she is today starting to put some weight on her leg. she is also eating and drinking normally and has started purring again so I think she is doing really well. also the vet said that is was probably just a muscle pull or a sprain and that she should be fine but the because she is a big cat that is might take a little while to get back to normal. and she is also starting to play again so that's good :)
