I'm new to the site and have a question about a newly adopted kitty from the shelter, "Goose."
He is an inside-outside cat that mainly stays in our yard and lounges in the sun.
A couple months ago I noticed these spots under his ears. They are flush with the skin and don't look irritated. He doesn't seem bothered by them or by me touching them.

It states, "The dog in this picture has somewhat black spots that are flush (on the same level) with its skin, with no signs of swelling, crusting, and fluid. They are likely the result of hyper-pigmentation from exposure to the sun."
But the article is in relation to dogs, so I wanted to come and get some expert kitty input.
