I was playing with my kitten with her favorite toy and was running around until I tripped and regained my balance ending up stepping on her foot. She ran away, like most cats and kittens do, and came back when I called her name but folding up the arm i stepped on. I did some tests to see if she was okay. I pulled the toy across the floor and she came running, like normal, and played. After playing and running a little she started licking her paw and folded it for a while. I pulled her toy up her cat tree and she jumped up and down with no hesitation. I noticed when i was playing with her, her tails top half was only moving, something she does when shes nervous or anxious. Mya gagged a bit but didn't throw up. This is normal for me since she does this when shes about to fart but, i'm still nervous about it since i just stepped on her. Can someone please tell me what to do, shes sleeping right now, and i don't know whether or not i should put gauze or go to the vet. I beg you please tell me something Mya is almost like my real baby, I love her and she loves me, please help.

I'm sure everything is exaggerated right now, your love and concern is evident. If she can put some weight on it at times, and you think you stepped on her foot, and not the leg itself, she is most likely bruised and sore. Let her dictate how much activity she wants to engage in in the next few days. Watch her carefully and as long as she is showing some improvement on walking on it she'll heal fine in the coming days. If she shows no improvement at all, or gets worse, hiding, yowling when touched, or keeping the foot off the ground, in two-three days, you might want to bring her in to the vet.Do not give any kind of pain medication with out a vets OK, most are very dangerous to kittens. Sleep is what she needs right now, so keep her quiet, give her lots of love and yummy treats and she will come around, cats are very resilient! PS, we LOVE pictures!
