They should both move identical he may just be very weak or something else is going on

other posters will chime in soon make sure they stay warm.

Is he nursing OK with the mom??

Is there enough room-

is the bed level so no one will get squished If bed is supported by a wall pull it away.

Just incase.

Probably this is serious.  At any case, its not the common.  Unless its something occasional, alike he got squeished some as suggested, and it will get good again in one day or two..

Does he seem to be in pain if you touch these legs?  If not you can try to massage them several times every day.  Be sure he is warm, esp the legs are warm, when you are massaging, and perhaps even doing some exercises...

You can also brush the legs with a toothbrush.  Its too is alike massage, and helps blood flowing, etc...

Inside only cats can manage with surprising much even being invalidated.  I saw on youtube a cat with lame hind legs.  So it went around on his fore legs, even outside, the whole body up in the air... Otherwise he managed nicely.  Being lame in forelegs is easier, its much easier to go only on the backlegs...

Do you have access to a good vet?

Can you please post a picture of the kitten's front legs?

It sounds like a tendon problem with the legs being turned backwards. This can be fixed so the kitten is normal.

I need to see first to make sure, but it's something that you can fix with massage and splints. If this is what it is I will explain how to handle it and send you links as well.

You won't need a vet to fix the legs because you can do it.
