One of my kitties is eating Radcat turkey* exclusively. He has had IBD for years and this is the only diet that has controlled it for the most part--not even steroids could get it under control. He cannot eat bone.
However, he still has issues with indigestion, so I'd like to try doing homemade raw. I'm wondering if he might have an egg sensitivity since when I've made him raw food using Hare Today meat with Alnutrin supplements added, it exacerbates the indigestion. I'd like to try using MCHA powder instead of the eggshell to see if this has an effect.
I'm wondering about a good brand, though. The "Pure Encapsulations" brand contains some other ingredients--magnesium (as magnesium citrate), ascorbyl palmitate, vegetarian capsule. Are these safe to feed? Is there another brand that is just "straight" MCHA?
Thanks!
*Turkey seems to be the only meat he can handle--chicken, duck, goose and red meat have all made him ill. Rabbit is difficult to come by and he doesn't like the boneless rabbit from HT. If anyone has any recommendations for alterative meats to try I'd love to hear it!
