My bf lives in New Bedford, MA. A stray started showing up in June. We fed and eventually trapped, sterilized and rescued Blanku. He is now at my home, 50 miles away on Cape Cod.  Since Blanku's rescue, a new cat has taken up residence under my bf's house. I asked him to consider feeding him and watering him and eventually, trapping and sterilizing him as well.  He is not too enthusiastic. This guy, BTW, is a keeper. We spent two weeks Caribbean Xmas vacay, rescuing feral cats.

Should we start again? We cannot take the second cat into our homes and I cannot foster more than one.

Thank you for rescuing Blanku and getting him fixed and giving him a warm and loving home

Your question of 'Should we start again?' The answer is yes. Though you cannot take the second cat into your home and foster more than one, it's good that you can do the TNR and continue to feed him BUT it will be good that you can try to get someone else to foster or adopt him.

By TNR this cat, you are doing him a good favor in terms of his health and there'll be one less Tom getting into fights and making unwanted babies.
