I am on my way to the vet now. He was given two bowls of fresh water prior, which weren't finished. I'm unsure if he even had a sip, but I'm hoping he did.

Here are the results! He does have a fever and his stomach is moving quickly. He was given two different medications and a new food for this. I will have to use it for 10 or 30 days. They'll be given twice everyday. His weight is fine and everything else seems fine. Not sure if he has parasites or worms, that will be done another time for another appointment with a stool sample.

Make sure you take him to the Vet! If he is Not Drinking, Be Careful and use a dropper to give in the side of his cheek only, or you could accidentally drown him. Cats must have water every 3-4 hours if ill. Also, get a Tube of Nutrical Supplement to have on hand for moments when your Cat doesn't eat.

Glad that they could figure out something to do to help your kitty. When is your appointment for the stool sample? I'm sure everyone here on TCS will be waiting for another update!

For my (cat :-) ) curiosity:

- What is the diagnostic?

- What investigations carried out the vet ? (EKG, eco, CT etc.)

- What meds did the vet prescribe?

- Well, if I may ask (please disregard if considered to invasive) - the vet's bill?

Temperature was taken from his rear end, weight taken, questions about his diet and activities, felt around his body with hands, checked his mouth heartbeat, and breathing, asked for a stool sample (hasn't been done yet) he was given probiotics and antibiotics, plus new food that is highly digestible. It was a bit pricey and quick but I did some research and hope this will work.

My concern now is that he has only beeen to the litterbox once since yesterday and it was to pee. He didn't seem to be having trouble and did a decent amount.. he eats, sleeps, plays, meows. But he has not even tried to poop I have observed him. If he doesn't go today I will probably have to bring him back.. I checked around for any vomit or stools, extra pee and there is none

Thank you!

And diarrhea stops? By chance, the vet told you the value of the temperature?

So far there has been no diarrhea but no poop at all so I'm a lil concerned. They did say he was running a bit of a fever which isn't uncommon for kittens. But he has not been tested for parasites or worms or anything of that sort, and maybe that could play a role. He will be when he gets better if he does

I remember I took temperature of my cat three times in a row within few minutes and  the values were different.

Anyway, I am glad the kitty is in a better shape.

He peed again, didn't seem to have trouble, but he has not pooped... it's been awhile. His tummy is still rumbly like before.

Constipation may be uncomfortable and problematic on long run,  but less dangerous than renal problems or dehydration from diarrhea.
