Hello there! Claire and Rags here!

Hello everyone!

My name is Claire, I'm 30 and live in the United Kingdom.

I'm owned by the wonderful half-Tortie half-Persian Rags! She's an 12 year old lady and, though she has teeth missing and gammy legs, she's a happy, healthy and loving companion.

Rags came into my life as a kitten with her brother, who was twice her size but she was, most definitely, Top Cat! Rags, in her younger days was basically semi-feral; only coming into the house to eat and would NOT tolerate human interaction.

Unfortunately we lost her Brother to what we think was a car, but since then Rags became very clingy and about 95% indoor cat.

Since then she has become such a loving and affectionate kitty, whilst still being a unique and a bit of a diva

Like most cats she has her wonderful quirks and a bit of an attitude and my Husband wrapped around her paw!

And the best thing about my girl Rags? We work together! Because of her sociable nature and love of cuddles Rags co-stars with me in Vlogs about cat cate, cat facts and DIY/Recipe vlogs on a YouTube Channel! She is my whole world <3

Very, very happy to be here, I've used some advice on here for some of my videos so I thought I'd come on and join, it seems like SUCH a great place!

A very warm welcome to you both!     Rags is truly a gorgeous cat and I love that little pink nose!  It's obvious from your photo that she's the diva and in charge.    I'm sorry about the loss of her brother - that must have been very hard for both of you.

This is really a terrific site.  It looks like you've already discovered the educational aspect of it - there is an immense amount of information available here in the articles and old threads.  There is also an active caring community so please dive into the threads and get to meet people.  As you'll discover, torties have quite a fan club here.
