I am going to be getting a few kittens.  I very much want them on wet food only.  I work 9 hours a day.  Is there any way to accomplish giving only wet food while providing them with the amount of food they need?

I want to avoid dry if at all possible.  I don't really know how much food they need per day.  Thoughts?  Thank you!!

How old will they be when you get them? If they're over 3 months, 3 meals a day should be fine---before work, after work, and at bedtime---but if they're younger than that they really should have something to nibble on during work hours. Kittens should be fed as much as they want, until they're about a year old.

You can also get an automatic feeder that has a cold pack in it to keep the canned food fresh, and program it to open while you're gone.

Pre-six months old, kittens will eat five to six times daily.  A young kitten going nine hours without a meal is quite a stretch for the gastrointestinal system, and the length of time might well cause the kitten to gorge when the food does appear - also not good for physical development given the growth rate of cats.
