Hello, I recently took in a stray and noticed that she's pregnant. She's pretty big guessing either she has a lot of kittens in there or they're getting bigger. They have been moving along for a week now. She still has a major appetite ( she eats two cans of food a day with snacks through out and plenty of water). I've been on edge because she's had a little mucus in her stool. I"m not able to get her to a vet at the moment. I'm very new to this and was wondering if anyone has any advice or informatiOn.

Welcome to TCS! [emoji]128571[/emoji]

Things sound normal to me. A little mucus is okay. Once you can see and feel kitten movement there are usually 2-3 weeks left, and you say you've already noticed for a week now.

Be sure she has access to dry kitten chow 24/7 in addition to the wet meals and water. Have you made a nest for her yet?

Yes I'd say just about 2 weeks they have been moving. I made her a nest she will sleep in it from time to time. I'm currently in the process of moving and a friend is going to look after her for me. She has two cats of her own, would it be best to have her in her own room? The other two cats are both males one is still a kitten the other is about 2 years old.

Yes, she should be in her own room while she is at your friend's home.

Sorry yes dry food should be accessible 24/7 just in case wet food is unavailable and it is also good for nutrition since the cat is pregnant and will need plenty of nutrition in the diet to care for however many kittens are in her little (but big) belly![emoji]128568[/emoji][emoji]128568[/emoji][emoji]128568[/emoji]

Dry food has more calories than wet food. More calories are better for mom. It also stays fresh longer than wet food, so mama always has good food whenever she wants some.

So I noticed while rubbing Star that her babies are moving lower towards her hips everyday. She slot more clingy then usual which I like being as though ,she would get her rubs and be gone lol... I'm so excited about the kittens coming this is my first pregnant pet that I've been able to actually be around.

Holy crap she is huge! She may atleast have 5 or 4 I'm thinking for her size as my cat was about the Sam size as her and gave birth to 4 so I'm thinking for yours about 4 to 5 maybe more but hight doubted

Wet food is important for mom as well.  You're doing the right thing by giving her unlimited kitten dry food, but it would be great if you could add in meals of wet food as well!
