So my lovely 14 year old orange tom Charlie was just diagnosed with diabetes. He's always been overweight, and we're unsure what we did wrong. He has type 2 diabetes now, and stage 2 kidney failure. He has certainly been acting sicker, peeing in places he shouldn't, and moving much slower. I am wondering if anyone might have some tips for how to care for a cat with this kind of condition outside of things like feeding and insulin. I need advice on behavioural treatment and interaction with the fella, and any other tips anyone might have. I want to make him as happy as possible in his last time on earth, if that's what this is.
