My pregnant foster is due for her monthly spot-on. I think she's in her last week or so of pregnancy judging by her behaviour and some physical signs. Is it safe to give her Advocate (Advantage Multi) at this stage?

I know Advantage II is safe.  this is used mainly for fleas.

I dont know for sure about this other, all round deparasiter,( btw with similiar broad spectrum as Revolution.)

The producer Bayer hints it should be OK for pregs, but they dont want to give no guaranties.

If you think she is infested, it may be wise to take a calculated risk anyway.  But if you are decently sure she isnt infested anew since her previous treatments, it may be safest to wait.  (OR contact your vet and ask, of course!).

Bayer, being a mayor and very reputable firm, has of course excellent quality control, they dont want to sell any products of uneven quality - which befells some other companies alike Hartz.

So this a big plus.

But I dont dare to give quaranties.

Does she need it? If she has no fleas you can skip it for now, though it should be safe.

She probably isn't infested with anything, I'm just paranoid because she came from a pound and I'm not the one who treated her the first time and I don't know what she was given.

It's morning here now so I'll check with the vet what they want me to do.
