Do we have limits to how many purraises we can give?

I just tried to give some purraise and got an error message reading:  You have exceeded your ratings limit, try again later  (or words to that effect.)   Now when I press the heart to give purraise, it doesn't respond at all.   This has never happened before and I've not given out more purraise today than usual.

When is the new platform coming?       

I can't see any limits, but perhaps @Anne can answer that question.

I tried again later and lo...I am able to purraise people again.  I'm still curious about the apparent limit referred to in the message.

Same here, and same, "problem," @Anne - now ongoing for nearly twelve hours.

I've noticed this since I first joined. (When I first joined, I purraised a lot of the photos in photo threads, and I got that alert box the OP is talking about here in this thread, regarding exceeding your limit.)

I think it is possible there is some sort of "spam" prevention for the site's coding which prevents hitting the purraise button too often in a 24 hour period. I can't find any FAQ note to that effect, but that's my theory.

Not a big deal, just go back the next day and purraise the post you had meant to purraise the day prior.
