Anyone else's cat cranky before breakfast?

Like all cats, they like to wake up their humans for breakfast. Some nudge and paw, some meow loudly, some snuggle.

Monet bites every time I try to pet him, to say "No. Breakfast first, then pets!" He'll also pull the covers off me if I don't move fast enough (I hate that when it's cold!   )

After I finally get up and feed him, he's all play and snuggles.

Is anyone elses' cat cranky before breakfast? or just me, cranky before coffee? 

My boy will meow sometimes at 4:30am and I'll tell him it's still early and I'll tell him to wait so that I can steal a little more sleep. At 5am, he'll sit by the bed and meow once. Few seconds later, he'll meow again till I get up. Once I sit on my bed, he'll give a long meow and when I stand up and walk, he'll meow extra long and loud and non stop all the way out of the room.

Then I'll brush his fur and after that feed him. After he finished his breakfast, he'll ask to play football with him. I'm the striker and he's the goalkeeper :lol3:

I would not say cranky - I would say more like DEMANDING!!

My cat just gets destructive and starts chewing everything in sight. He knows I am immune to begging, meowing, and pawing.

Leroy just whines really annoyingly And he walks all over made pokes me with his drippy wet nose

Artie will do the  "tap-tap-tap" on the shoulder bit.. then the meow in the ear.. repeatedly for 3 times.. then he gets the message, and cuddles up so tight up against me until I have to get up.
