Good morning.

If I gave you $100 and told you to get something nice for your cats what would you buy them?

If I was being practical I'd put it towards another round of worming medicine. The snow will be melting soon, which means the mice and birds will start appearing, which means they're all going to need to be wormed again.

If I wanted to buy them something fun I'd put it towards some more wood so that I could extend their cat highway along a third wall and get it to meet the top of the stairs. I know they'd love that.

Another thing they need is some new collars. Sophie lost her's this morning and Toby's is about to break at any moment. They're all starting to look a bit frayed and shabby, we could do with some new collars.

So many things I could buy for my cats! How about you?

I would love to cover the enclosure in mosquito netting so they stop biting poor Sundar's nose.

Or another hammock for the enclosure...

Or a tunnel..

Could you up it to $1000 @Norachan

I would get one of those scratchers that Bengalcatman makes.  Can't have enough scratchers!

When can I expect the check?

I would buy a carpeted 'tunnel' scratcher, my cats go wild for them, they have completely destroyed the one I have in 6 months from playing on it so much. Wormer would be the second.I spend a lot of money on this, mainly because I have so many cats!

For practical, put the money towards Liffey's spay bill

For something fun, maybe  a really nice kitty tower.

A recommendation! For those that live in the US anyway. This is the same stuff the vet uses and a bottle that size will last a long time, even with 20+ cats ;).

I would probably get another Armarkat cat tree from Amazon. The current ones are getting kind of ratty.

My one bedroom apartment is starting to look like the cat furniture and cat toy sections of the pet store, I have two spoiled kitties that are pushing me out.  I would put it aside and use it for the essentials like food and litter.

I think I"d get a really tall cat tree. Not even sure where it would go, but I know it would be appreciated.

I have absolutely no idea. :dk: she's fairly spoiled as it is.

Likewise.  If, "spoiled rottenest," is the superlative form, mine certainly are that.  I'd just add it on to the monthly donation to the local shelter, and not mention it to my cats at all.

...with the cats...
for the practical side, i'd put it towards the yearly flea medicine purchase. for the fun side, though i suppose it would also be more practical, i'd buy three (one for each cat) XL dog-sized snuggle sacks -- the kind that have sherpa on the inside. if any money was left, i'd donate it to the local shelter.

The practical side of me would put the money toward Carleton's next dental.

The fun side of me would buy a multi-tier cat tree, we've never had one because they are so unbelievably expensive.

I'd get the deal on the Advantage multi my vet gives. Buy 6 get 2 free, so is a really good deal, but just haven't had that kind of extra money to buy that many. I still just buy one each month.
Almost 22.00 ea.

Poor little guy! Don't the flea medications you use keep mozzies away from him? I've never found any fleas on my cats, but I use Frontline in the warmer months because it stops mosquitoes and ticks from biting them.

Just as soon as I win the lottery!

 They are so nice!
I know! Wouldn't it be nice if @Bengalcatman  could come to Japan and help me make scratchers for my cats?

(hint hint)

That's a good idea. I'm sure those shelter cats would really appreciate that.

They sound really cosy! I think I'd like to curl up in one of those and take a nap myself.

Cat furniture is crazy expensive, isn't it? I build my own these days. It's not as pretty as the stuff you can buy, but the cats don't seem to care.

Can't think of anything they don't already have. A smart thing would be to bank it towards their next physicals.

With the "Ikea effect" (cheap Chinese flat-pack furniture), it's fairly affordable now. Amazon has a lot of decent cat trees in the $100 range.
