HA!  Betcha thought I forgot!  I did not, but GOOD GRIEF things got weird for a few hours!  All is settled down again, and here I am with my burning question:    You are driving along, maybe in a town, maybe in the country, maybe through the woods.  But driving along.  Suddenly you see it...THE HOUSE!  The one that you know immediately is yours.  It was built just for you.  It had to have been.  AND LOOK!  There's a "For Sale" sign!  You call the realtor and she agrees to meet you right away, she just had a cancellation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    She gets there and shows you the house.  Everything about it is either just as you wanted, or filled with SO MUCH potential that you can't wait to get in it and start making it perfectly you.  You ask the price, and it is far below what you expect, and you can easily afford it.  You ask the agent why the price is so low, and she hesitates, then sighs and admits that the house has sold several times, but the paranormal activity has driven everyone out!  Oh, no, nothing physical or violent, but...unsettling and sometimes noisy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Do you:       1) Walk away, regretting what cannot be,                                                                                                                                                                                                       2) Buy the house because you don't believe in the paranormal AT ALL, or                                                                                                                                           3) Buy it with the confidence that you can deal with the ghosts, one way or another?

I don't believe in the paranormal. It's probably raccoons in the attic, which I can deal with. So somewhere in between 2 and 3 :tongue2:.

2. Don't believe in ghosts. Like @Willowy  says; probably critters. I can handle those.

And *if* it turns out otherwise, I don't spook easy LOL

I would never buy the house described. Because there is no question in my mind that if something was floating around the house it would eventually present itself to me. When I'm alone. Thanks, but no thanks.

I'm gonna go with number two . . . however, if things started rattling or my furniture started getting turned upside down, I'm gonna sick Atticus and Thirteen on those poltergeists!

I am going to walk away from it.  I have serious doubts about the paranormal but I can't say that it is non-existent.  If it was just one person that left I would probably go ahead and buy but not with several people giving up and leaving.

i also don't necessarily believe in the paranormal, but i most definitely believe in 'possibilities'. it may not be 'paranormal' things going on with a house, but there are many (many) undesirable things to keep an eye out for when looking at houses -- like extremely noisy neighbors, a dirt bike trail up the road, 'nuts' with guns in the vicinity, etc, etc. for a seller, and especially a realtor, to have a (suspiciously) low asking price is a big red flag to me.

Ghosts? Meh.

I live in a little cabin in the middle of The Suicide Forest, if I was worried about ghosts I wouldn't have bought this place.

I'd get the place checked out by a surveyor to make sure it wasn't about to fall down, but if seemed sturdy enough I'd buy the house.

Rodents of unusual size?

No. I've never seen them. I see lots of wildlife, but the only thing big enough to worry me are the boar.

I do not believe in ghosts. But I'm afraid of them. Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

Depending on my situation in life (if I was alone, for example), I'd really have to think about it.

It has taken me this long to realize that I didn't anwer my own question!

I'd buy it.  If there is no history of physical attacks or other violence, I can deal with a random ghost or three.  I have three now who are attached to objects I own and who travel with me when I move, 1 human, 2 kitties.  LOL...I even have someone who will take the kitties and their objects if I should die.  I just couldn't stand the thought of those objects going to the dump and those poor kitties being stranded there after being part of my home...one for 10 years, the other for 8.  It would be heartbreaking.  And you may now call me nuts.
