Triple confirm, it's a stinkbug.

A female tick looks like a big soy bean size and is light beige in color and a male tick is very much smaller than the female and it's color is like dark brown to liver color and the skin is hard. Eeeeeks......

1CatOverTheLine 1CatOverTheLine where did you get your info on Lyme, I am in Nova Scotia Canada and our vets tell us not to worry about it. We have dog ticks on mass which we are told carry nothing. We also have a patchy and expanding deer tick population which carry lyme, dog owners can vaccinate and humans are told to watch and check carefully. We don't have the ticks that carry the other things, used to check for Rocky Mountain carrying ticks when I was visiting my grandparents in the Rockys as a child. Because it gets so hot and dry there we only worried in the spring. I NS it can be tick season from March to December

This information is from the Cornell Feline Health Center:

Lyme Disease: A Potential, But Unlikely, Problem for Cats

Lyme disease is probably not a concern for cat owners. Although the bacteria that cause Lyme disease is capable of infecting cats, the disease has never been seen in a cat outside of a laboratory setting. However, because Lyme is potentially quite severe and is common among humans and dogs, it is wise to know how the disease is transmitted and what the signs of infection are in your pets.
From PetMD:
Lyme Disease in Cats

Even though it is uncommon in cats, lyme disease is known to be one of the most common tick-transmitted diseases in the world. Caused by a bacteria spirochete species of the Borrelia burgdorferi group, its dominant clinical feature in cats is lameness due to inflammation of the joints, lack of appetite, and lethargy. Some cats develop kidney conditions, and rarely heart or nervous system diseases.
Another tick-borne disease cats can get is ehrlichiosis.

Holly crap! Why would they say it doesn't happen! I had a two year old who got increasingly ill over about a month and then had kidney failure, was told it was likely poisoning but he was covered in small ticks (i of courses did)that he was too ill to groom off himself ,after 3 days of iv fluids his crit level had not improved at all and we put him down.
