Hello everyone, I adopted a new kitty 3 days ago he is beautiful and very loving. When I adoped him the shelter said he was about 7 years old. In the last 3 days I have only been able to get him to eat 3 bites of food. He has been drinking a good amount and is still having regular bowel movements. I have tryed everything. Soft, dry, gravy, mixes ex. I took him to the vet today everything came back absolutely fine. Except that he is more like 10 years old and has hyperthyroidism. Which the vet seemed quite stumped. He gave my kitty something to boost his apotite. I have goten him to eat a couple bites of tuna. Any ideas?

Are you feeding him or offered him exactly the same food as he got at the shelter? That is the first thing to try.  Hyperthyroidism is characterized by a very large appetite and weight loss.
