I'm going to warm up some more KMR and give it another go! We did get some into Owen and Carter as well. Owen and Carter have latched and nursed. They look better then Rhett but I wouldn't say out of the woods yet. :/
I think the foster was afraid of drowning them with the syringe. They were trying their best but I'm glad they contacted me when they did! Matilda is handling it all great. [emoji]10084[/emoji]

Me too! I'll be honest and say I'd be shocked if he makes it! Poor little Rhett. [emoji]10084[/emoji]

@Matilda

Is he taking formula every hour? How much? Have you tried the honey? Are you keeping him warm with an active heat source?

I understand that you think Rhett may not make it, but I hope you are not giving up.

Could you please provide specific details as to his condition and what you are doing? It will help us to help you!

Ok I think I have time to sit down and recap what just happened...
When I got home I still didn't know the full story to theses kittens. My mom was told they need to try and see if they would nurse off a mom cat asap! That the foster was most worried about little Rhett. So my mom took them in and tried to see if they would nurse and I was to be called once I got out of school to be told what was going on.
When I got home I knew it wasn't good, I immediately mixed up KMR and went to work with Rhett. The foster called me about two hours after and explained she was up all night and all day trying to get something into the little guy and felt so bad she didn't send him my way sooner to try and get him to nurse of a momma.
He was cold when he got here even after being on a heating pad with two other kittens. He was very lethargic and just didn't have any fight left in him.
We did get about 1cc into him combined the two feeding we tried. Poor little Rhett was to far gone I think.

The other two kittens have fed off Matilda and have both gotten 1cc each feeding of KMR and I will keep up every hour until I see fit to move it to two hours if possible.

How old are the newest fosters? Thank you for taking them!
One was born Monday, and the other was born late Monday night Tuesday morning. I'm not sure when Rhett was born.

This is good to hear! [emoji]128077[/emoji]

How are her own kittens doing? Are you rotating everyone? Are you weighing to make sure all are still gaining?

Matilda's kittens are doing great!Their eyes and ears are open. And we even saw little Trunchbull trying to lick herself yesterday while Bruce and Honey looked like they were trying to play with each other. It's crazy the size difference a week can make with these little guys Matilda's kittens are giants compared to the two new ones! It's so awesome to see them grow.

I did rotate a few times last night and did supplement Carter and Owen every two hours. We aren't weighing as the old foster has the scale and are planning for it to be brought to me sometime today or tomorrow! Our rescue is going crazy with the amount of kittens brought in just yesterday with many more that are going to need our help!

Sounds like you've got things well in hand. Yes, kitten season is rolling right along! This is why we urge spaying and neutering. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I just got 2ccs into Carter the most ever! Once he figured it out he really started to go crazy!
Owen won't take much at all but I think that's due to him nursing more on momma with the others.
Here is a picture of Owen nursing next to Bruce. The size difference is crazy!

The newer kittens are probably undersized. Glad you got formula into one of them, and good they are nursing well. We'll know for sure they are gaining weight once you get the scale. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

She seems a little overwhelmed today which is totally understandable she got three kittens thrown at her with one just "disappearing" once she took him. I've been trying to leave everyone alone unless I'm feeding to let her settle. But I'm not sure if that's helping or making it worse sense I have sat next her box 90% of the time I'm home sense the very beginning. But if I sit down there she wants to be next to me and not in with her kittens.
What should I do? Keep doing what I'm doing or go back to what I've done sense day one?
