My litten has just been spayed and I understand they are prone to put on weight . How many pouchea should I feed her now ? It's 100g per pouch!

Calories are the important factor when it comes to feeding your cat. The average indoor only non-active cat only needs 20 calories per pound to maintain their weight. Although it can be as high as 30-35 calories for a seriously active cat with outdoor access. Alot of foods you have to go searching for calories as the companies like to say " 1 can per 3 pounds of cat per day" or such non-sense which doesn't really provide accurate information. Especially since you will find the same instructions on all cans in a line even when their calorie content can vary as much as 20 calories between flavors.

In your case, kittens should still be given as much as they want to eat until about a year they are still growing so limiting based on current weight can be detrimental. While some cats do become more sedentary once spayed/neutered there is no reason to change eating habits just yet if your kitten is under a year old.

You need to pay more attention to body condition than weight (although weight is important to know how much food to feed to maintain the ideal condition). Below is a body condition score sheet. You would want your kitten to be a 3 ideally, if you notice her become a 4 then you will need to reduce food just a little at a time (5g a week until you are back in the 3 range is a nice slow manner to go with, yes that means you likely will have to feed partial cans/pouches to maintain weight).

Most people feed their cats 2-3 times per day. Your best bet is to stick to a no-grain food because grains can lead to weight retention around the midsection and cats don't handle rice, wheat, corn or other grains well as obligated carnivores.

Since your kitten is only 5 months old, her metabolism is very high.  I would feed her 3-4 wet food meals a day, one being just before bedtime,  plus leave dry food out all day.
