Yes, it may be best this lady is taking it - you dont know why it was alone outside?  Its family perhaps died of somehting contagious.

Rescuers do often handraise such an orphan manually, even if they do have a perfectly good momma cat, to minimalize any risks.

We moved them to warmer darker storage room next to furnace wall.. wet noses are dryer.. but the littlest male is not so much energetic as others.. he is putting more weight on and we have to help him latch on.. momma will lay on him and not move
If he is putting on weight, minimum 6g a day, its probably not too bad, perhaps even OK.  but you must apparently follow it closely alike a hawk, and be prepared to supplement it yourself.  If you can get raw goats milk its excellent, otherwise use some good kmr or bottled / powdered goats milk.

If he gains lesser than 6-8 grammes a day, do supplement him anyway, even if he does gain somewhat.   Good if he takes some from momma, but main thing YOU safeguard he gets his full ranson.

The usual is 8ml /oz(=30g) a day.  So a kitten of 90 grammes shall have about 25ml kmr or goats mlk a day.   More with time as he is growing and getting heavier, of course.

How much each time depends on how often he gets feeding time...

ps.  Healthy kittens add typically 10+ grams a day, 25 grammes isnt unheard of.  So 6-8 grammes a day is really a minimum number for the sick ones, the very small ones, and recovalscents.

You must weigh them, to know if they do gain everyday, or not.  Also, knowing the weight its easier to give kmr or goats milk - you will know exactly how much they need.

Ix 8ml x 30 grammes a day.   So a kitten of 300 grammes need 8ml x 10 = 80 ml a day...

You can bathe them if necessary.  But be sure they dont get chilled down.  So draughfree foom. Warm but not hot water, dry off thoroughly afterwards, and let them rest on a heating pad or similiar.  These whom just has bathed are always freezing, no?

Pity you cant find goats milk, but most kmr brands are OK too.  Its almost only Hartz whom is known to be uneven - sometimes OK, sometimes bad.

Please  do report!

It's time to begin feeding the kittens mush. This is pate-style wet food mixed with kitten formula or water to make it mushy and easy to lap up when kittens are weaning. Keep dry kitten chow available for them at all times as well.

Most kittens do not need a full bath. They just need a wipe down with a warm, damp wash cloth.

If mom is not licking her kittens, you need to stimulate them to poop using a warm, damp cloth on their bum.

Since they are 4 weeks old, it's time to introduce them to kitten chow softened with KMR, along with pate-style wet cat food mixed with KMR to make a slush. At 4 weeks old and with their baby teeth in, they need to begin weaning to food. They will need to be fed every 4 hours.

As they wean, they will need to learn to use the litter box. As soon as they begin eating food, start putting them in a kitten sized pan after each meal. Their poops will look like small, formed logs.
