Out of curiosity, I was searching around for low/no starch dry foods. Since Orijen's formula change, my cat doesn't like it as much anymore. I only give a tablespoon and a half as a nightly snack before bed.

But I was wondering which formula is better in terms of quality of ingredients and reliability of brand? I've never had an experience with any of these brands before.

Thanks for your input!

I think either is very good, but will your cat like them is the question. Mine wouldn't touch Epigen 90
I only bought it as an emergency backup in case I couldn't get home and needed a neighbor to feed them (and their wet/raw routine is kind of complicated

Young Again is awfully expensive, $44 for an 8lb bag

Wellness Core Air Dried food may meets your criteria or low / no starch.

You can alslo try air dried rawfor the bedtime snack. The texture is similar to that of dry food and there is no starch, just pure meat and maybe some organs, a little veggie, and vitamins and minerals. ZiwiPeak and The Real Meat are two opular brands. Freeze dried raw is softer in texture and most cats readily eat it.

I have tried the Ziwipeak, my cat wouldn't even taste it :c I fear the same may be the case with the wellness air dried since it is soft and not crunchy.

My only issue with Wysong is that I have to give them a strong side eye for selling and promoting vegan dog and cat food....I don't know if I can support a company that encourages pet neglect.

My cats love epigen 90 starch free, 5% carbs, high protein with enzymes and probiotics.mix slowly.
