Hi there!

I just recently adopted and would love to have some help identifying my kitty, Wooster. He is about 6 months old now and I cant tell if he is ragdoll, maine coon or a mix between. He is not very good at being a lap kitty but likes to lay next to me and have his belly rubbed, loves the sink, loves playing, doesn't overeat, and talks a lot (especially if hungry or wants attention). I've attached some pictures below and want to also point out that he has yellow eyes.

Thanks so much for your help!

Neither breed stands out to me. He is a domestic medium hair cat. That's all. Unless he comes with papers, even a cat that looks like a Siamese with the markings could just be a color pointed cat and not Siamese at all. Cats are just Domestic Long/Medium/Short hair unless you have papers from a breeder.

I disagree you don't need papers.. A cats breed is a cats breed regardless of papers LOL

Nay.

1.  IF we are pretty sure the cat is of a especial breed,  yes, we do call it for this.  Even without papers.    At least for everyday use at home among friends.  I find is as highly satysfying to find the parentage to any orphan; be it human or a cat.

2.  We cant label cats  around about as we do fancy.   As a private person YOU perhaps can.  We do live in a democracy after all, with freedom of speech.  Not even to mention "alternative facts" as is becoming fashionable nowadays.

But how it would look if we here, in a serious forum, were become known to label random moggies for fancy breeds, just because they were somewhat look alikes??

We can name a look alike if its a look alike, and we are proud of doing so!   But we cant label them as if they were.

Can someone at least describe what the "look-a-like" breed would be. I don't want/need to show my cat or anything, I just want to be able to understand what he looks like in terms of similarities to a certain breeds.
