Just buy a can of plain pumpkin at the store, and mix a teaspoonful into each serving of wet food. It does not need to be boiled first. You can just mash it in.

Agreed. I stated in post #19 to not use pumpkin pie mix.

The pumpkin should be cooked, not raw. If you cook the pumpkin yourself, do not use any spices or other vegetables
Hope this helps

I'm in Australia so unfortunately never heard of Libby's lol but I'll head to my local supermarket this afternoon and go and get some plain purée pumpkin for him
He actually seems abit better today - a lot less pooing as I've stopped feeding him so much , it's still runny but not as bad so I think that's a good sign
I'll update you all how the pumpkin goes xx

Thank you for the update. I'm hoping his poop firms up soon. If not, it's time to consider whether the food is agreeing with him, or whether it's parasites or infection.

I thought he was :)
So it now been about 8 hours since he last funny poo and he just did a poo now At midnight ( hence why we called him midnight hahah ) and it was very runny he sort of made a small cry as it came out
Really hoping that because the poos are so spaced out now instead of hourly that it will be coming to an end for him , I did call the vet who said I can try boiling chicken breast for him and mix that with rice or pumpkin

Diarrhea is never good in kittens, so I'm wondering if you can get him to the vet before Monday? His bottom may also be sore, so if you could smear some petroleum jelly on it that would help.

You can't really overfeed a kitten. I would think it was the diet change, or that there could be a parasite. What color is the stool? Has he been dewormed multiple times?

The vets here at closed over the weekend Monday is the earliest
Today we start the boil chicken and rice and pumpkin diet , he went 8 hours yesterday with no runny poo and then straight after some wet food at night he did it again, I have a huge feeling it's food related ...
but hopefully he will be ok till Monday , mymmain focus is trying to firm up his poo as he he still happy to play and not showing any other signs of been sick

Little update - he has had 2 boil chicken and pumpkin for food instead of his whiskers gold brand and his poo is normal ... it looks like a long one way more firm with little bits of chicken in it , does this prove to me that he isn't sick and it's just his wet food causing it ?

I'll keep him on this diet for a few days , still will be taking him to the vet though as I'm just super paranoid and want his check up done
I'm trying to think of another brand of kitten food for sensitive tummies ? I've heard of te hills brand but unsure x any advice ?
