My cat is very pregnant had a discharge yesterday morning that I only had to clean 2 times so guessing her plug but no kittens yet her belly gets hard then soft and I don't have a way to get her to my vet hospital is there something I can do at home to move her labor along she is eating drinking and using the bathroom normal I just don't know what else to do and also does anyone know if the kittens will come out with issues her son is the one who got her pregnant we thought we fixed him in time but he must have gotten her before he was fixed as there are no other male cats here and due to her heart condition I was told getting her fixed would be risky she is strictly inside cat never been outside

Any day now. As long as mom seems well she is probably ok.

Do you have a nest set up? Kitten supplies?

Yes said they will have birth defects and no one wants an ugly kitten I said if any of them have birth defects I would keep them all anyway she was really rude I cried and she said it's normal to have them eat the less fortunate one so sad

Oh my! That's terrible of them to say. It's good you switched vets.

We can't know for sure until they are born, and it is not ideal for the mother and son to mate, but usually with a first-generation incestuous mating the kittens will be okay. It's when family members continue to mate that problems develop.

She shouldn't became a Vet. Ugly or not, they all have the right to live and be loved. She should be fed to the Lachrymose leeches. I would gladly throw her at the Lachrymose lake. Maybe after that, if she survived, she'll get to her senses. Ugh.. Sorry for my words. I just got really irritated at her point of view.

How's your cat now?

Where do you think?
How can people be so superficial? As an adult who has a permanent disability it really appals me when people are like that. Beauty is on the inside.

Did this vet seriously suggest cannibalism? That is just gross. This vet needs to lose their license.

A mom cat will know if a kitten is healthy or not she will push it away from the rest of the litter.

Have heard stories mostly wild feral cats will eat a carcass rather than waste it. Domestic will kill

if threatened or unsafe. Found this: a little off topic.

Yes, pregnant tummies get very hard towards the end. Laying on their back gives their bodies a break! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

This brings memories. I was like you, when my young female cats got first pregnant and about to deliver, I worried about every single thing and asked Mr. Google about this and that. Hahaha

Just relax, everything will be fine.
