So about a month ago my cat Toby got in a fight with my momma cat. He usually goes out the house for an entire day and comes back for dinner. But after the fight he left. Now yesterday i noticed him in my neighbors yard. The neighbors are only there on weekends. I went to try and get him but he just ran away into another neighbors yard. (Hes never been a real cuddly cat. He comes to you when he wants cuddles) any tips how i should get him back? He hasnt been coming home for a month or 2 but he is still around our area

Are Toby and the Momma cat both spayed/neutered? If not that could be why she chased him off. Un-fixed cats won't tolerate other un-fixed cats in their territory. If Momma cat is Toby's mother she has chased him off because he is a threat to her next litter of kittens.

The first thing you need to do is get all of your resident cats fixed. If you let us know what city/state you live in we can help you find a cheap spay and neuter clinic.

You will probably have to trap Toby, get him fixed and then keep him indoors for at least a month while his hormones calm down.

In the meantime, if your neighbors don't object, you could leave some food for Toby over at their place. You need to set up a routine so that Toby knows when to expect you. Don't leave food out for a long time as it will attract raccoons and other wildlife.

If Toby knows that you are going to be bringing him food every day it will make it a lot easier to trap him.

Please get her spayed asap. The above is correct and she likely chased him off.

Is there any way she could be pregnant again? Is she allowed outside?

It's OK to spay nursing mommas. It doesn't affect their milk and they can go on nursing their kittens for weeks afterwards. When were her kittens born?

I concur with Norachan and talkingpeanut.

I had a nice tom cat, who was neutered, at the same time a mother cat gave birth in the house. Though the house was big, and I tried to "seg" them from each other, she ruthlessly attacked him until he ran away and didn't come back, though I saw him in other people's yards. A couple times he came on the back wall and let me pet him, but cried, and scratched himself out of my grasp when I tried to bring him back in again.

He wouldn't let me near him again.

He was such a nice kitty, I hope someone in the 'hood took him in and keeps him happy. If he went out, he likely ended up as Coyote chow, the way mother and all of her kittens eventually did.

Now, everyone's neutered and kept inside..
