I need urgent help. My 2-week old female kitten has a wounded genital. Her mom cat accidentally bit it due to excessive cleaning last week. It wounded her genital linings real bad that blood came out. Now it doesn't look redish anymore but pinkish and I think its healing already but it still looked swollen to the point that I can't see its urinary tract lining. It worries me because her tummy is a bit wide in shape I wonder if she is urinating at all. I tried to look at it closely but I'm not sure if it still has an opening, all I saw was just a small looking dot/space that I don't even know if it opens when she pees.

She looks healthy and has a big appetite. Always drinking milk from her cat mom. Her tummy isn't looking bloated but is wide and a bit flat in shape. This picture was taken just last night. How would I know too if her urine has piled up already if in case she isn't peeing at all? I need to know her real state, because here in our country most of the vets wouldn't say the real case so that they could prescribe more thus earn more. Like what happened in my other cat, she had pyometra but they(all the vets I went to) said that they suspected it to be UTI and need blood test, scans, etc. despite I told them detailed by detailed her state. Until the third vet that I went to stated right away that it is pyometra without even having her go under some blood test, etc. I need to have some clue so that won't be able to deceive me. Sorry for this kind of post, I'm just really worried and had enough of this kind of cold-hearted vets. Need some replies ASAP. Thanks in adva

Where are you located? I think this kitten badly needs to be seen by a vet. She may have an infection.

I agree that she probably needs an antibiotic. It's good that she continues to eat well. Can you get meds from a vet?

I'm from Philippines. We are planning to go now at our Public Vet clinic because we don't have enough money for now. Thanks for your fast reply and concern.

Yes, she's eating well. Really well. Right now she is still suckling to her mom. Thanks again.

Hello again. We just got home. The public vet is closed again. That's why we went to the Private vet clinic and I am thankful that somehow we were able to afford the fees. Though still it was expensive. Anyway, I told every detail to the vet, she looked at our kitten's genitalia, pressed her tummy and its sides, as I asked and told everything and finally told me that our kitten still can pee, that her genitalia, her urinary tract linings didn't stick together that it still has an opening. Though I'm not convinced but I pray to GOD and hope that it has an opening and that she can pee.  She injected some kind of medicine(I forgot its name, Furo injection something like that..)that would induce and help her pee. The vet said everything is alright as long as her appetite is well and good. Then she gave us a bottle of LC-VIT PLUS multivitamins in syrup form, instructed us to feed it to her daily. The vet also dabbed some kind of green ointment at her genitalia, I think it is some kind too of antibiotic or just antiseptic .So I am right now just waiting for our little Tsuloiki(our kitten's name) to pee. But still I'm worried ugh. I'm such a worry-worm kind of person when it comes to our pets. I fret and get really crazily anxious alot. I think I'll calm down when she pees. Because that's the important thing to know.

yes she's still  with her mom. She's an only child,no other siblings. She is actually with me right now. Good news!!!! Thank goodness she is peeing right now while I'm dabbing some cotton balls on her genitalia. :-D

Yes, I was going to see that you might not see the peeing if mom was cleaning her.  I'm glad she is able to go!

Please keep us posted on how she is doing.

Are you able to keep mom inside and away from intact males?  She can get pregnant again at any time now.

Yes she's inside our house. She's a house cat, but our male cats are on the other room for now so that they won't get near with our female cats. But from time to time we let them all play together under our supervision.

Are you able to get them spayed and neutered?

As of now, we still don't have money for that even though I really wanted to. I have to star saving money again first.
