Hello, I need advice
My cat he's 1 1/2 years old and he's throwing up everything he's eating he can't hold anything in his stomach! It's been about 2 1/2 days It's worrying me I took him to the vet this morning and did blood work everything was completely fine! And he wasn't dehydrated They sent him home with antibiotics but nothing for the nausea and we came home gave him medicine and my cat ate a bit and threw it up again is there anything I can give him to ease his stomach? I read Pepcid AC but I'm not sure. Also I think the cause is my mom came home 3 days ago with some tulips i didn't notice until I got home from work that night and threw them away! I know they're toxic for cats I told this to the vet and he said he wasn't sure it might be the cause I'm taking him to another vet for a second opinion but if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to ease his stomach please!

Hello ohmonnicuh, could be a possibility that your cat ingested something which is not in agreeable with his system. Not sure if was the tulips or some other stuffs.

Yes, it's best if you can, get a second opinion fast with another vet.

Do let us know the outcome after the visit to the vet we hope that your kitty gets well soon :vibes: :vibes:

What did the other Vet say.  There are definitely anti-nausea meds for cats.  Pepcid A/C can help, depending on the issue, but that is not usually prescribed specifically for nausea.  .

my cat had the same vomit issue. she was much older, 15. I thought it would go away (used different food brand or just overeating). I came home and she was crying in pain. immediately took her to the vet, he took blood to test (had slightly high thyroid levels). the next day she died (of stroke leading to heart failure).

I suggest having second opinion, more blood tests and keep paying attention to changes (mental and physical). could be food allergy, Inflammatory bowel disease, blockage (if unable to poop), hyperthyroidism (sometimes high thyroid levels don't show I read) or something else. keep track of weight loss.

I'm not a vet, just sharing my experience as a cat owner.
