just joined, this appears to be a truly wonderful place!

I currently have two (and a half, since I am caring for a semi feral who came with this rental) kitties. I volunteer at my local shelter, working with the semi ferals, shy or depressed ones, and those who need behavioral changes in order to become more adoptable.

In the past 25 years I have fostered around 175 kitties. One or two I still long for, it is so hard to give up the ones with whom you have fallen deeply in love!


This is something I made for my two for Valentine's day, from a cast-away flour barrel I found my the roadside.

That is fantastic! I have failed horribly with fosters. Cannot for the life of me give them up.

Welcome @MegMeows  to this great site!    That is a wonderful cat hide-away that you have made for the cats.   Wow, if you have fostered 175 cats, you are truly in the right place!   That is wonderful how you work with the cats that need a little extra understanding.   I have a Siamese-calico mix girl, Speedy and she is everything to me.     Speedy and I look forward so much to seeing  you in the forums!
