Oh goodness, sounds very dramatic! Hoping my lady will be calm and serene when she gives birth! [emoji]128514[/emoji]
It was seeing as I was a newbie at the entire thing. I was just so relieved she had only 3 kittens & it was all over within an hour. The best part for me was going in their room every morning to check on them. Most fun I ever had.

I can't wait either. [emoji]128525[/emoji]
Your mama looks very like Elsa. I'm dying to see what colours her babies will be....and how many. I hope not too many as it'll be easier for us both!

My own cat Minnie had 2 kittens 16 years ago, which was a perfect number for her because she's quite little.

Oh my goodness! The babies are arriving!

I had no idea Elsa was going to have them today. I was watching for all the labour signs and saw nothing!

So far she's had two and she is licking them etc but they are not latching on. Her nipples look very dry, and even though I've tried helping to orient them, they still aren't latching on.

How soon should that happen? They are crying really loudly.

Hi
Sorry I didn't get back on, it's been a busy day. Kittens are all doing great. 4 in total, all around 100g and all feeding well. Mammy is very relaxed and confident. I suspect she may have done this before.

I've posted a separate post with photos. I'll see if I can link it.

Since I've posted so many photos of my foster kittens on my other thread, it only seems right to share a pic of my own "kittens" here. They are 18 month old sisters so still babies really, even if they are 4.5kg each!! [emoji]128514[/emoji]

Fern is the tricolour and Willow is the ginger & white. Fern loves cuddles. Willow does not. Both are friends with the golden retriever whose crate they are lying on. He's mad about them too.

I thought I'd better do an update since my family has grown. I now have 2 more girls in my cat family, Ro (Rosie) who was a mama that I fostered and Sminky, a very very nervous but pretty Siamese girl who was found straying.

Ro has the run of the house (and garden!) She just decided she lives here. Sminky is staying in my bedroom for now till we figure out what has her so anxious. She's always happy to see me and likes the quiet.

Ro.

They all just took to her. I guess her scent had been in the house for so long before they started to mingle, they probably thought she was already one of the gang!

Obviously their approval was a big part of the decision.

I know you've been here since February, but since this thread is active again, I've just seen it. So, belated welcome to The Cat Site. :wave2: All your kitties are beautiful. :catrub:
