Hello all! I have a 9 week old kitten who seems to be in pain when she goes potty. It seems to be when she urinates. When I checked her back side, I noticed he Anus was red, swollen, and poking out. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow but is there any idea what this would be? She is eating and drinking just fine.

Hello kimmikinz, welcome to TCS :wavey:

Yes, it's best that you bring your kitty to the vet. They are the best person to assess the problem and for treatments.

Do let us know the the outcome after the visit to the vet ;)

For problems with poo, we have lotsa of advices.  But if its mostly when she urinates, its other and potentially more alarming.  Very good you are going to vet with her.   Its surely a vet errand, not crash emergency but asap.

She probably has a urinary tract infection (UTI). The vet will need to diagnose and treat it. Let the vet also know about the swollen anus. Is it possible she is constipated? Apply a warm, damp compress to the anus for relief for now, and please let us know what the vet says tomorrow! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
