So my cat who I thought was only maybe 2 months pregnant but wasn't sure.. had a kitten today. She didn't make a nest she literally just had it on the couch. It's been about 7 hours and she's only had one. She seems very content and is nursing and taking care of her baby. She still looks pregnant and my mother in law said she felt kittens move inside her. Could this be interrupted labor? Should I be worried? I have no experience with kittens and am completely ignorant to all of this stuff. I made her a nest and she's using it with her kitten now.

Help me please!

She will probably have another soon.  Its sounds as if she was impregnated multiple times and has kittens at various stages of gestation. You should be making plans to get her fixed soon or you'll be in the same situation again.  Good luck with mom and kitten.

Thanks! Yeah that's definitely the plan. We took her from my in laws because my mother in law was really allergic and then we found out she was pregnant.

Do you have any indication of when the next kitten could come?

Cats can deliver hours or days apart. As long as she is not in distress she'll be fine. Have you moved mom and baby to a nest yet?

Mom can be spayed when the kittens are 8 weeks old. The kittens can be fixed at 8 weeks also. Make sure mom has unlimited kitten chow and several wet meals per day. [emoji]128522[/emoji]
