Kaleb "Salvatore Dali"

Hello to all Newbs and Regular Members of the community!

My name is Sarah and I post as the furmom of my five and a half month old male cat Kaleb. He has a cute little mustache, as you can see. That would be why I decided to keep the name Salvatore as his middle name, after the spanish artist.

We have settled very nicely. We are friendly. We can be trouble and are rambunctious as ever (well, mostly he is) , AND we are happy to be a part of the nice group you have here!

Great that you've join this community of cats and also the site have much to offer in terms of useful and helpful articles and of course lots of cat friends.

Kaleb is a handsome boy. Yes, at 5 1/2 months, he's just full of energy.

Is he neutered? If not, plan to have him neutered when he's at the right age which is around 6 months old. Here's an article on that :-

Hi Tabby Tom ! Thank you for the nice welcome and sharing the article with me. 

He is energetic and sometimes I can't keep up with him! For some odd little reason he's recently been more energetic at night. It's 9:30 pm here in PA and he's still not sure he wants to settle in. Always zipping back and forth across the floor and lately has been making use of his taller cat tree as well. He seems curious, and likes to "stalk" me. I don't mind having my hands full with just one kitty! 

To answer your question, yes he was neutered around 4 months. He is fully healed now. The girl at the store from the rescue organization was very keen on telling me to be sure not to get him wet as the incision was still healing. But yep, he's fixed and I hopefully won't have to worry about spraying. So far, so good! Thanks for asking.

I didn't even notice that I got more replies. Thanks guys! He is very content always in my room. He loves my queen size bed. I just don't know what I'll do when we live with my fiance who says he won't be allowed on the bed

Usually the cats have a specific spot on the bed. Maybe you can try to train your kitty to sleep next to you on the side nearer the edge.

My boy has his favorite pillow in his own corner next to my head on my bed and he always sleep on it and he never moves around while he sleeps. He'll only be all over the bed when we play peekaboo on the bed.

So place his blanket or pillow on your side and let him get use to sleeping there

So true! You can sleep on Kaleb's side of the bed.

I have a mustachioed cat as well, and I nearly,like you, named her after an artist: Frida Kahlo. For some reason, "Frida" just didn't sound cat-like enough to me.

Your pics make me miss when my cats were still kittens!

@TabbyTom  yes , I think I will bring that up next time he and I are on the subject. I don't want Kaleb to feel betrayed, poor little guy  ....

Hi Sarah and Kaleb! I am very late in welcoming you but, am glad you have joined this group. I have a cat with the same mustache, his name is Milo and he is an orange and white tabby. Kaleb is adorable. I hope you will jump into TCS with both feet. Not only can you get great advice and support but, you can share your stories about life with Kaleb. It is nice to have a place to do that. We love cats stories and cat pictures. The more, the better.
