I've been trying to find a commercial raw food to try with my kitty, homemade isn't something feasible at this point.. I thought I had found a decent one to try..but upon further inspection when home, the fat content seems way high compared to the protein :( I feel like I'll never get the hang of it...
I wanted to try a bit before buying a larger bag of Nature's Variety.. I was able to get 6 1/4lb patties for $6.99 (Canadian)
I'm unable to find any other brands that have been recommended on this site.. just the NV .. :(

I got the Chicken one..
Hopefully I can use what I bought and get the NV if she likes it...seeing as she's a decently active 5 month old... I'm hopeful the level of fat won't be too much a concern?
..sigh

I actually don't think that raw food looks too bad. Cats do well on a higher fat diets, they don't process fat the same way humans do. That protein/fat ratio isn't really bad, but I'd be concerned about the calcium, they're using both bone and eggshells, which seems like way too much.

That's the highest protein/fat ratio I've seen yet. I was wondering about the bone/shells as well. I can't find much more details about the food.. think I'm going to keep researching and looking. And maybe just keep this one in her rotation
