Our rescue just got a mother cat with four 2-week old kittens. The lighting in these photos isn't great, but mom is cream with black/brown markings. She has tortie-type markings on part of her face, her ears and her legs, just cream/black/brown, no orange. Not quite sure what to call her. Tortie point Balinese mix? Is there such a thing?

She is georgeous.

I would agree that I don't think Balinese would be accurate and I would lean more towards a Ragdoll if I had to guess at ancestry. Could just be a far enough down the line mixing of traits to have the pointed gene and the medium/long hair without relation to either.

I am personally against rescues throwing breed label guesses on cats. I know it makes them more appealing. But it can be misleading because cats aren't easily labeled as a specific breed without clear ancestry.
